Do posts ever expire?

I was just wondering if posts are automatically deleted after so long. I tried to see if someone had already asked this question, but I can't find any posts that answer this.

No, posts do not expire, if you click on "unanswered" you will find older posts which were not answered.

If a thread disappears, it has been deleted. I often find threads which aks a question that has already been addressed many times, I write a PM to the member and the threads is deleted.

Way to go, this is not often donewink

We also try to delete obscene posts or offensive language immediately.

I was asking myself something similar right now!?, so let me add my doubt to your post. Has the person who posts a question some way to close it if not to delete it? Because I have just answered a question posted in 2008, hohoho, made by someone whose only contribution to this site was that post.

You can delete the content and title of your own message. I do not know if that removes the thing from the internet though.

If you cannot find a post, most likely it has been deleted by a moderator for being obscene, having bad language, a double post, (etc) The only way a post can ever be closed or deleted is if one of the moderators closes it for whatever reason there may be for them to close it.
