jergas de habla hispana
For those of us who are fascinated by Spanish, I have stumbled on another wonderful website. Maybe it is common knowledge, but it was an exciting discovery for me... Spanish slang.
Speaking from a personal perspective, I read a lot of books in Spanish, and many times there is regional vocabulary that is new to me. Spanishdict has been a wonderful resource, and I usually come here first. But occasionally Spanishdict does not have what I am looking for, and I have found that "jergas" sometimes does.
Are there other sites that you have found?
Muchas gracias, de antemano...

Hi Mountaingirl,
I am familiar with the one that you have listed and here are a few other sites that I have found more or less useful from time to time:
General
Jerga
By country
Lunfardo/Porteno/Buenos Aires Slang
Chilenismos - Spanish/Spanish
Chilenismos - Spanish/English
Léxico de la selvas colombiana y venezolana
Uruguay - This site (tuBabel.com) also has links for jerga of other countries as well and is very useful.
A few countries/regions have specific words to name the particular slang/jerga spoken in that country/region. Here are a few terms that I have seen which might help your search if you are looking for slang from these specific places:
Chapines - Guatemala
Lunfardo or Porteño - Argentinian (more specifically, Buenos Aires)
Caliche - El Salvador
Don't know any other sites of that nature--just wanted to thank you for sharing this one. It's great!
