In Mexico, it isn't requesón. According to Wiki, Requesón is much closer to ricotta.

I bought cottage cheese the other day and it was called Queso Cottage. Seriously.

I haven't seen the Borden brand from above but I actually bought the LaLa cottage cheese. It wasn't bad.

I agree, requeson is similar to cottage cheese and ricotta, but is not quite the same; as queso oaxaca is similar to mozarella, but not the completely the same. - Shrek, Jan 15, 2010
Oaxaca cheese is stringy like string cheese but the texture is softer (don't ask me how that works) and the flavor is much more boring. It is a very interesting melt though. - Lasairfiona, Jan 15, 2010

Oooh. I just learned this yesterday. Requesón. Welcome to the site. There is an excellent tab at the top, Translation. You can type in the word in English and three different sites translate it for you. After that, if you still have questions, everyone here on the forum is great with giving a helping hand.
