Did anyone notice------

Did anyone notice that wednesdays word of the day was conjugated incorrectly.It appears that cubrir has been conjugated as an AR verb in the pretorite tense to mean the 3rd person and not the 1st person.Will all you honest folk that did`nt notice please vote me up.I could do with a better reputation.Ray LOL

I don't understand what you're saying, Ray. Where is this place that it is conjugated incorrectly?

It looks correct in our dictionary.

Ray, as much as I would love to vote you up, I believe you are wrong in this case. If you are referring to the examples sentences, the first sentence:

Cubrí los ojos con una almohada. This is correctly conjugating this -ir verb in the first person preterit. (I covered)

The second example sentence:

El presupuesto no cubre todos los gastos. This is using the third person singular of the present indicative. (does not cover)

Cubri los ojos is correct for the 1st person pretorite.In the example given in word of the day for wenesday however it is conjugated as `cubre` which is incorrect - ray, Jan 15, 2010
