Verbs are holding me back.
Para mí, es muy dificil para recordar los verbos. Por ejemplo, para escribir el verbo "recordar" en la última frase, yo necesité buscar la palabra por el diccionario. Todas las otras palabras ya las sabía.
Necesito encontrar un método.

There's about 125 or so very common verbs that are used in the most common conversations. Do whatever it takes for you to learn these verbs, flashcards, mnemonics, whatever. I made me a spreadsheet of these verbs with the most common conjugations, so that I could see the conjugation patterns. It was the best thing I ever did, because it kind of 'broke open' my ability to speak.
I have made flashcard sets of just "verbs to know." I want to make more, too. You can check mine out if you would like or create your own on this site. The flashcards help me very much because they check recognition, listening and written skills. Also, I don't just do the flashcards once, even if I get a great score. I keep going back to them to refresh my memory.
At night if I have trouble falling asleep, I try to go through what verbs I know and have lately practiced conjugating them in my head. Maybe that's a little weird but...
Jack O'Brien's observation is most astute. I've also noticed that most conversations with Mexican friends in ordinary conversations we use relatively few verbs.
Not only relatively few verbs but also very few tenses - present, future, past, mostly.
I'd like to see your spreadsheet, Jack. Is there a way you could provide a link?
I think this is when you start memorizing all the conjugation patterns and the irregular verbs , at least for the most common usages.
