Watch out! ´Quitar la entrada´ means that you remove the driveway! - mediterrunio

Exactly, Johnny, this was not the right choice.

We would also say

Limpiar la entrada, quitar la nieve con la pala,

NO he oido nunca "espalar" big surprise

Hello. True, espalar means Apartar con la pala la nieve que cubre el suelo. But I´m not sure in which country use that verb. It´s a bit uncommon in everyday language. - mediterrunio, Jan 14, 2010
This is a cool new word for me. Very uncommon in usage, but found in the DRAE. I guess that since it doesn't snow a lot in Spanish speaking countries it is not very well known. - LuisaGomezBartle, Jan 14, 2010

I would use, Quitar la entrada con la pala. Limpiar is to clean which doesn't sound right. Quitar is to clear. I would use that instead.

hello, limpiar is also to clear, like when you clear the snow from the driveway. Watch out! ´Quitar la entrada´ means that you remove the driveway! - mediterrunio, Jan 14, 2010
an expensive mistake that would be! - 003487d6, Jan 14, 2010
