What can make your day?

What can make your day?

My son's almost 2,5 years old. He's really cute and beautiful and we just can't resist - we keep telling him that he's cute and beautiful. One day I asked him: "Who's cute and beutiful?" and he answered "Franek" (referring to himself). Well, I thought, we're raising a little Narcissus.

Anyway, today I asked him the same question again: "Who's cute and beautiful?" I wanted his grandma to hear the answer. And this time... a surprise! My son thought for a while, then gave me a serious but loving look and replied: "Mummy!"

It really made my day smile I know it sounds like boasting (how narcissist of me), but I couldn't resist to share this with you!

My daughter is in college over 900 miles from home. She's been there 2-1/2 years and I miss her just as much - or more - than when she first left. It makes my day when she telephones and we have a nice long conversation.

It also makes my day when she looks at some of my Spanish sentences and says they are correct! (She studies Spanish and is part of my motivation to learn the language.)
