Liriano lanzó seis entradas de cuatro hits y seis "ponches". I want the baseball term for ponches.

It means "out" smile t's when the batter has two strikes. I know there are several types of "outs", but unfortunately I'm not that acquainted with baseball.

But what is a strikeout?

So I looked it up in my collins dictionary which said "In baseball, if a pitcher strikes out a batter or if a batter strikes out, the batter fails to hit three balls thrown properly by the pitcher, and is out"
