Thank you SpanishDict!
I'm just writing a quick note to say a gigantic THANK YOU to developers and contributors of this website. I have been studying Spanish pretty intensely on my own for about 6 months, and I took a trip to Honduras over the holidays. I went with a group which included a young woman who teaches Spanish in high school. It was almost as easy for me to communicate basic information as it was for the teacher, and I even knew how to use the subjunctive better (particularly when making polite requests). I'm so pleased and impressed with all I've been able to learn here, and it was so much fun to be able to practice it. Thanks again! Jennifer

It's really nice of you to thank Spanishdict, but I do believe that you also have to give yourself a big thank you as well.
Your hard work and enthusiasm will have been the most important part of your learning, and you should be very proud of yourself ![]()
Please do tell us a little about your trip to Honduras - so many of us would love to be able to go there.
Hi Jennifer,
I am so glad to hear about your positive experience in Honduras. I too became active on this site in preparation for a trip to Latin America. I too am so grateful for everything I learned here. I even knew two words that the translator had never heard. These words were confirmed by the native speaking people we were with.
So now that you are back, I think it would be great if you start spending even more time in the forum. After all, if you are dealing with the subjunctive already, than you must have enough wisdom to impart to some of our beginning members!!

Also, it would be great if you started a post with a bit about your experiences in Honduras and maybe some pics. It seems that we love looking at pictures around here!!
Thanks so much for your kind words, Nicole
I posted a couple of pictures under the travel section (had to upload them to flicker, so it took me awhile) The video didn't upload here though, but you can probably cut and paste the link? I have more, but desafortunadamente, no tengo mucho tiempo ahora! And thank you guys-I am giving myself some pats on the back now for my mad studying! Take care, Jennifer
