the language course and voluntary service in Guatemala

Dear all!!

I've lately heard that Spanish courses in Guatemala are beginning to be quite popular nowadays. There is one school offering one month of regular Spanish course and then one month of voluntary service for a charity. What do you think about it? Have you ever participated in a similar programme? If yes, did you enjoy it? If not, would you give it a try? smile

My 20-year-old daughter took several weeks at a school in Guatemala this past summer. It did not have the service component you mention. In general, it was a good experience for her and quite reasonably priced, although there were a few surprises. She felt very good about her progress in Spanish, especially in speaking.

If you want more details, feel free to send me a private message.
