Error in Today's word -acoger?

TODAYS EXAMPLES Acogié a una familia de refugios en su casa. - I took a family of refugees into my home
I have a friend who suggests 2 corrections:
Acogî (forward dash on 'i') refugiados
do you agree?

Tienes razón...se escribe "acogí" con acento en la "í".
A veces hay algunos errores sueltos por allí, pero...en fin, ¿quién es perfecto?
