What does the suffix -ita or -ito mean? Like in perrito or ventanita.

The suffixes mean "little."

Like perrito or gatito, which means puppy or kitten. Puppies and kittens are little.

If the word has -ito/-ita, it generally means "little something"

A lot of Spanish speakers will put one of these suffixes (according to gender) on the end of one of their child's names for a nickname, like Mariza would be "Marcita" or "Maricita." or Jose would be "Josito."

Hope this helps
