Sylvan has a similar meaning to Keith. Sylvan means someone who inhabits the Woods. Keith means "dwelling in the woods"

Sylvan would translate as Silvio in Spanish. Associating the two words, suggests that Keith could be translated as Silvio in Spanish.

Although someone got very creative with Sylvan (good work jrodguitar!) I'm going to say no. Names usually stay the some when inhabiting another country unless the have an almost exact equivalent, like you said Richard and Ricardo, or Albert and Alberto, etc. For people you and myself we are just stuck with Spanish pronunciations of our names. In Mexico, I didn't go by the name "Scott", I went by "Escott". I learned to love it smile

I don't think so. The name originates in Gaelic and Scottish. In Spanish, your name would be... Keith smile
