Welcome to the Forum, Panda. Intriguing question, too.

Actually, Mexico has at least 365 "holidays" a year. There's hardly a day that passes where in some pueblo, somewhere, there isn't a celebration of some sort. Usually of a religious nature.

It is one of the surprising delights that make Mexico so inviting.
