i think there are some mistakes in that phrase like it should be "tu no lo escribiste" not escribistes and it should be "habias sido" but it means you know that i know that you didnt write it because you have always been kind to me but anyway (in any case) forgive me it should be "disculpo" im 100% sure up till but and like 80% thereafter

Among some Mexican Americans living in California, anyway, adding the "s" to the second person preterite is done when the conversation is between two friends, or family members, or when the person addressed is a child. Maybe it's a bit of adapted voseo, where that conjugation would be escribisteis.

But it's been a long, long time since I used or studied "vos." Let's wait for an answer from somebody more expert.

First let me correct it: sabes que yo se que tu no lo escribiste porque tu siempre habías sido cariñoso conmigo pero de todos modos disculpa.

I guess the writer is apologizing. You know that I know that you didn't write it because you have always been kind to me, (but) anyway please excuse me.
