Just when I thought I had it figured out I came across the following:
Me gustas tú. "I like you"
Adding an "s" to the verb is correct???
To say "I like you" I would have used "Me gusta tú."

The gustar verb is always used in the reflexive.
So the actual translation of Me gustas tú is
You are pleasing to me
(the tú at the end is just a clarification - and the tempo of it is very nice). The easiest translation into English switches the objects around so that it is simpler - I like you - but the direct translation shows how it is used in Spanish.
This is how reflexives always work. You put the direct object (me) at the beginning and the verb with the implied subject second. Here, since you are using the tú form of the verb, you use the -as ending.
Me gusta is a very common phrase meaning "It is pleasing to me." It is a good one to know.
Nos gusta - it is pleasing to us.
Me gustan los bananas. - The bananas are pleasing to me.
It is important to remember that the reflexive nature of gustar makes the sentence structure seem backwards. If you were to say "the apples are pleasing to me" you would use gustan, becasue the apples (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes = "an" ending) are performing the action of the verb. It's actually an elementary conjugation, but the action of the verb is reflexive, so it seems backwards. If "you" are pleasing to me (the conjugation for "tú" in an ar verb is "as"), then gustar would change to gustas. So...litterally translated, "me gustas" means the same as "me gustas tú", which is "to me you are pleasing." To say "Me gusta tú" would be an incorrect conjugation.

You don't need the tú at the end. You can simply say "Me gustas" or "Me gusta". "Me gusta" is for the usted form of the verb (a little more formal) 
If you are trying to say you like more than one of something like if you are trying to say that you like apples then you'd say me gustan las manzanas not me gustas manzanas so yeah hope this helps good lick!!
