¡Confudida!
It's kind of random, I know, but it makes me smile because a friend of mine several years ago said when she was confused: "I'm confuzzled!" and "confudida" reminds me of "confuzzled" somehow. ![]()
Mi palabra favorita en español es refigeradores. ¿Por qué?
It seems like a simple word, refrigerators, but it is tongue-twister in Spanish. I felt when I could pronounce this word, with 6 syllables with the beginning "trilling" "r", that I would be able to pronounce any Spanish word.
Maybe I'm easily impressed, but I like the sounds of "alguien" and "también" and think they're fun to say. I also like the words "empiernada", "amenecer", "papachar", y "relajada". Then there's "sueño" (uh oh.. have you gots the sueño again?), "papacito", "hombre". There's too many words I like. Especially when speaking Spanish makes me feel so special. :p I could hardly compose a sentence before I got together with mi hombre.
My favourite words are 'Friendship'(amistad) and 'Love'(amor). Very beautiful words!!

I don't know why, but I've always liked "motocicleta" (motorcycle) ![]()
When I first started taking Spanish classes, it made me feel like I was instantly 'fluent' in Spanish (jejeje). Strange, I know, but true!

My favorite word in English is discombobulated, meaning confused, mixed-up. It is especially a favorite because my dad would purposely mispronounce it by saying he was "discombooblelated". (Thank you, Grace, for reminding me of it!)
My favorite word in Spanish is aproximadamente (approximately). I think this is because my native-speaking friend and I had quite a laugh over how tongue tied I became trying to pronounce it correctly one time. (I am very proud to say that I have now conquered this word - lol)
La Mariposa , because of the sound of it, this word embody this beautiful creature - Butterfly.
I've always liked words in Spanish that don't seem like they could possibly mean what they mean. I remember first learning 'buzón'. How can that be mailbox? Or 'semáforo'. I mean, traffic light? Really? So many words are cognates or words related to words I already know, so when I get a totally different sounding word, it appeals to me.
One I recently read that I liked was 'villorrio' meaning "A small village; a miserable little place".
Hay varios palabras españolas que me gustan;
Mantequilla - tanto más romántico que 'butter'.
Desaliñado - porque en inglés debe significar 'desalinated or with salt removed' pero de hecho quiere decir 'scruffy'.
Romántico - because it sounds so much more romantic with the Spanish pronunciation!
As ever; any correction of the bits in Spanish will be appreciated!
Mi palabra favorita en español es los bomberos. Parece muy divertido.
My favorite English word is euphoria, meaning very happy.
As a Spanish student, I had a fun time saying inteligentemente, meaning intelligently. Try saying that five times fast! ![]()
En español, mi palabra favorita es paraíso. In Spanish, my favorite word is paradise.
Encantada ----For spanish---- it has a funny way of pronouncing it.
Mother - and of course, Madre.
Although I have to confess to a sneaky liking for "Bumblebee" in English, and "Ronronear" (to purr, like a cat) in Spanish ![]()
Mi palabra española favorita, del momento es inesperadamente ,encontré esa en la canción "Inesperadamente" por Luz Casal. Serendipity is my favorite English word . I try to "elbow" these words in whenever I can !
