I have a question... doesn't "Judías" mean "Jew/Jewish"? So it is esentially saying "the green jews"?

I think the word for Jew is Judio/a not Judías... might make for an interesting mistake in a grocery store though.. jaja

"Do you have any green jews left?"

If they are Jewish women they are "judias", and nobody laughs about it. - mountaingirl123, Jan 6, 2010
Yes, that is why accents are so important! - drvicente, Nov 12, 2011

Yes but it is not uncommon just like in English that words spelled the same have different meanings. - drvicente, Nov 12, 2011

Habichuelas son (string beans) y guisantes son (peas) en la mayor parte de Latinoamerica. Creo las judias verdes son de España. It is green beans alla.
