estoy traduciendo un parte del "las mocedades del cid" i tengo algunas dudas sobre esto: "y ofrecióme un pensamiento para escusa de mi mengua; dixe aquello con la lengua, y con el alma lo siento, y más con esta esperança que este Aragonés previene."

It looks like to me, "and he offered me a thought for the excuse of my disgrace; (not sure about dixe; maybe it was dice??--not in the book but...) he said with his language, and a sorryful soul, and more with his experience that Aragonés prevents this."

pues yo he traducido algo assi.... "he shared a thaught as an excuce for my dissgrace; i said with my tounge and i feel it with my soul, and even more i have this hope that the Aragon will prevent this"

I have never read El Cid, shame on me, but is it saying somethink like,

and he offered me hope/a way to excuse my disgrace, I said this with all my heart and soul, and more, with this hope, that these Aragones lands prevent/that this Aragones prevents.

I have to admit though, it doesn´t make much sense.
