Thought I would start a poll on how to say 2010

I am just curious.

I hear some people saying it is “Two Thousand and ten” and I hear other people saying it is “Twenty Ten”.

What is your opinion? Will it become “Two Thousand and ten” (dos mil y diez) o “Twenty Ten”. (veinty diez)? Note: It appears in Spanish it would be "dos mil diez".

In English I think "Twenty ten/eleven/twelve and so on" will eventually catch on and be collectively accepted. In spanish they'll just follow suite and say the whole thing, Dos mil diez/once/doce.

In Spanish, it is definitely dos mil diez (without the y).

My vote goes to "two thousand ten" and "dos mil y diez."

Mine too. I don't know how "veinte diez" would sound in Spanish, but "twenty ten" sounds strange to me.

This is very commonly said in English though, especially when listing years of cars. - DJ_Huero, Jul 27, 2011

My guess is:

Dos mil diez. ( the y is Spanish numbers goes after the 10's and before the one's placeholder)

mil novecientos cuarenta y tres.

1943.
