Rice and beans is a dish served with the two together in some places, so is it common to say arroz con frijoles or vice versa, frijoles con arroz (although the second way doesn't sound right to me)?

judias are more like green beans or pea pods, right? I'm particularly thinking of New Orleans style of 'red-beans with rice' and red beans are from pinto family...i think....this would be frijoles, right? - bdclark0423, Jan 1, 2010
Yes I just looked it up in dictionary and it said kidney beans for frijoles. - kenwilliams, Jan 1, 2010
It could be black beans, white beans, red beans.White rice and black beans are delicious,if done right. - 00769608, Jan 1, 2010
