from Wikipedia: zucchini

Calabacín is used frequently in the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. Elsewhere, zapallo or calabaza is more frequently used.

Synonyms (courgette): zapallo m. (pumpkin, gourd): calabaza f., auyama f., ahuyama f.

In English, zucchini looks like a cucumber, but is from the pumpkin or gourd family. In the States, locally it's custom to make zucchini bread when the plant has passed its ripened state....but it's more like pound cake....and usually a delicious side dish at Thanskgiving or Autumn meals.

WElcome to the forumsmile

This is a misspelling, should be written with a b, as bdc has pointed out.
