What is the squiggly line over the "N" in Spanish spelling called? I know there are 2 different "N's" in spelling, but want to know what the line above one is called??

The "squiggly" thing itself is called a tilde or accent mark. (I learned it as tilde)

In both English and Spanish the mark over the Ñ is called a tilde. In Spanish the word tilde also include accent marks.

(De tildar).

The ñ is pronounced like the 'ny' English "Canyon". and its called 'Enyay' The n is pronounced like 'EN'
