I found a Valencian-English dictionary but the word wasn't in it.
Below is a link to a site that shows a Valencian Spanish math problem compared to what I assume is Castillian Spanish. Quite a difference is spelling.

I don't know if we can translate Catalan well on this site. I tried and all I can say is that Esbrina = finds out = Averigua.
A translator told me this. Obviously that has nothing to do with math though

It may in terms of "Calculate" / "Find"/ ""Determine" in Math instructions which is what I suspect that it means.. - 0074b507, DIC 27, 2009
