Can any one send me the website link that gives small stories in Spanish ?. The idea is to learn Spanish using small stories (kids stories), by learning simple words used in the story.

Hi, Santosh. In English, we usually call them "short" stories. - --Mariana--, Aug 24, 2010

A lot of Chidren's classics are found on Cody's Cuentos. Some are bilingual which really helps in increasing one's vocabulary. There are a lot of Children's short stories on Cuentos para Chicos.

If you are reading mainly to increase your vocabulary, try this site. It shows translations of the words by clicking them and it marks and unmarks the ones known or unknown by you, sends you daily emails telling you the words that you listed as unknown so that you can practice them, and even tallies the amount of words in your vocabulary for you. There are forums and individual tutoring. Most of the basic stuff is free (reading articles, forums, etc.), but advanced features (private tutoring) you have to pay for.
