how do you say ask the question in spanish because they both mean preguntar so would i say pregunta la pregunta

Use may also use the verb form,ie: "Quiero preguntarte algo."

These would also be acceptable, correct?
Quiero hacerte una pregunta. (I want to ak you a question.) Me gustería hacerte... (I would like to ask you...)

You can say "Hacer una pregunta" to avoid the redundancy.
Hagame una pregunta. Ask me a question
Hacé la pregunta. Ask the question.
