Is there such a word as niñetta? I'm looking for a word for a very little girl.

The dictionary suggests "niña pequeña" for "tiny girl" - I was thinking along those lines myself, but I am only a novice at el español!

To my knowledge, there is no such word as "niñetta." It is possible that it is a regional slang word such as "Niñita," which adds "cariño" to the root word 'Niña.
Another possibility is confusion with the words, "Niñera" and "Niñero" (Baby-sitter, nurse maid, nanny, etc).
