Notification of updates to a thread?

I no longer get emails to a thread I have "ticked" is there a reason for this?

Update - Problem solved - I changed from Hotmail to Gmail.

I received two notifications the day before yesterday.

Perhaps the system assumes that anyone with 1M points is spending so much time within the site that any notification would be superfluous.

It could just be a system problem that will resolve itself in a little while. How long have you not been getting the emails? Depending on when you stopped getting them, something might've happened when they changed the server, like, a week ago, or whatever they did that caused the site to be closed down for a bit.

But otherwise, I don't know what to tell you. long face

Hi everyone - thanks for the suggestions but none of them work for me - still not getting "Word of the day" or notifications. ?????????? PS I do get PMs.

Ian, you can try to change your e-mail address in your profile and ckeck how this works. Surely, you have an additional address and from that moment you will receive the emails to that address.

I still get all the emails fine. Although, there was a time a few weeks ago when I didn't receive any "notification emails" or Word of the Day emails for about 3 or 4 days. But, then I started getting them again.

It's working fine for me. Also, don't forget to check your profile to ensure that SpanishDict has the correct spelling of your email address. (I'm assuming it does, of course, but I'm just trying to think of some of the more obvious things.)

It's equally possible that a strange glitch or programming error is preventing the server from actually sending you emails.

This is a test comment to see if I get the notification.

Don't forget to check your spam folder, too.

Also check your browser or email provider that SpanishDict.com hasn't inadvertently been added to your list of unapproved sites. That's why I quit getting their mail for a spell.

Hmm....I'm still getting my emails for threads that I've subscribed to. Let's hope it's just a temporary glitch.

I do not know. Have you removed the option in your profile where it is said "not to send private messages". I cannot guess what it can be. Or perhaps you should send a message to the administrators.
