You can say "soy guapo" but that can sounds pretentious. That sounds like...
Hello, my name is Peter, I am very handsome....
I do not know what you the English speakers think about that but in Spanish. I would not know how to say that.
Only if someone asks for my physical appearance, I would dare to say that. But, yes, the expression is "soy guapo,,, and then, you can add: mido 1,80.... tengo los ojos azules.... bla, bla, bla". ![]()
Hi Roger. Welcome to the forum. ![]()
You could say "soy guapo" (I'm handsome) or you could say "soy atractivo."
Well, handsome in Spanish is "guapo/a."
Sometimes, I also hear "hermoso" around here.
But I wonder if there might be some nuance of meaning between "guapo" and "hermoso."
Anyone know?
Also, I'm wondering if "Soy atractivo" is a bit more boastful than "Soy guapo."
Both seem boastful to me, by the way...
Good looking = atractivivo, guapo
In Spanish, it sounds better "guapo" if you are talking about yourself.

I agree. It's the same in English. You'd only mention that you are attractive, handsome, pretty if someone asked for a physical description.
Another question arises: To me, using "atractivo" implies "sexy."
Is this so?
