so what does te digo mean and would it be correct to say ya te digo?

Unlike "ya te dije", "ya te digo" is an expression........it is used to mean something like "And how!" or "Boy I'm telling you!"

It is an expression but not what jeezle said. I'm from Argentina and I can tell you what "ya te digo" means..

The common use for "ya te digo" is when someone asks you something and you have to look for an answer, you say "ya te digo" meaning "wait a moment" or something like that.

And when someone says something like "Ya te digo, es re lento", means something like "I know what i'm telling you, it's slow"
