In the play "resguardo personal" by paloma pedrero, what is a reguardo personal? what does she mean by this? How is it used in the play?

It basically means, personal voucher. This represents her release from Gonzalo when he tears it up.

What are you people talking about?

It is a piece of paper that allows Marta to pick up the dog. She tells Gonzalo that the dog is going to be put down if she doesn't make it to the kennel by the time it closes, and after he wants the dog for so long and fights with her to let him have Never (that is the dog) he refuses to go, makes certain that the kennel is closed, and rips up the paper. Basically, he just wanted to hurt her and didn't care about the dog, or at least that is what he pretended to hurt her even if it would hurt him too.

I won't give away the ending, but I HAD to post in case someone ended up on this site.

I cant find the play online...its a woman and a man and theyre fighting over custody of their dog, i guess a symbol of a child during a divorce. she shows him a "resguardo personal", like as protection from her husband. its says its a personal claim check - atopor, Dec 16, 2009
