Just checking: "mirarlo"

Just checking: "mirarlo"

Hi there,

My friend sent me a note recommending a video, and I answered her by typing: "Muchas gracias. Voy a mirarlo" I wanted to say "Many thanks. I am going to watch it." I think this is correct, but I was worried about the "mirarlo" part. I was not sure if I should have typed, "Lo voy a mirar." However, maybe I should have typed "Voy a mirarla" since it is a video (film/pelicula)?

I just wanted to make sure, and I appreciate the help!

it means the same to say "voy a mirarlo" y "lo voy a mirar"... maybe one sounds better depending on the context, but they are the same. In Spain we have also the word "vídeo", so you can use "lo" in this case...
