What is the difference between besar and besarse?

I know they both mean to kiss but i don't understand the reflexive part.

Sorry but that's not correct. Besarse is to kiss each other.
La madre y su hija se besan - The mother and daughter are kissing each other.
Sorry about the mother being bald.
