My friends asked me how my night went and I want to say that I had a lot of fun. How do I say that in Spanish?

The Translation feature shows 3 possibilities.

I liked this one best: "Tuve mucha diversión."

Although I might have used "Tuve mucha divertida."

Slang not withstanding, the most common usage is, "Me lo pasé muy divertido/a."

We can't say, "Tuve mucha divertida." "Divertida" is an adjective.

Could you also say "Me divertĂ mucho"? - Luciente, Dec 13, 2009
Translation gives rider's sentence this: "I had a great fun." Isn't that also using "divertido" as a noun? Please clarify... Thanks. - 0057ed01, Dec 13, 2009

Indeed divertida is an adjective, but my Mexican friends also often use it as a noun.

Language does change over time, despite the rules...

Some words differ between mexican spanish and spanish so although this may be used by mexicans it may not be by Spaniards - span1234, Feb 27, 2014

"me lo pasé bomba..."

Check out this one in the Translation feature.

The differing results are hilarious!
