Bottom line:

Bueno becomes buen before a singular, masculine noun.

if the bueno follows the singular noun it is not shortened.

If the buenos precedes or follows the plural noun it is not shortened.

Buenos temas or Buen tema are both correct,

but, Buen temas is not correct.

^^ What Carlos said, remember verb and adjective have to agree in number & gender.

It actually took me awhile before I finally fully realized that, and why none of my sentences had any hits in Google.

It amazes me that Spanish people actually have all that memorized.

The correct are "Buenos temas" (if plural) but if you want the phrase in singular is "Buen tema" (without the "os" at the end of "buenos" and without the S at the end of "temas").
