How do you say single, as in music?

Also - how can I say "Muse has had no number one hits in England but I think many of its songs deserve to be number one"?

I know this is a lot to ask but I would really appreciate the help!

Thanks to everyone who tries to help smile

In Argentina we use "simple".

For the other, I would say "Muse no tuvo canciones número uno en Inglaterra, pero yo creo que muchas de ellas lo merecen.

We also say "single" for that type of records that only have one song. In the musical argot is used that word. And everybody knows what that is.

Thank you. To clarify it would just be "solo" then? - hassi94, Dec 8, 2009
And could anyone try answer my second question please? I'd be very grateful :) - hassi94, Dec 8, 2009

As the names can change with fashion, I know that it is sometimes called " un single" but now in the last times I have heard "disco sencillo" or "un sencillo" too.

I've heard it called "sencillo". This refers to a new hit/single.

Por ejemplo: "Escucha al nuevo sencillo de Shakira aqui."
