I have reached heaven tonight

Question

I've been anxiously waiting for this moment for some time.

According to the "reputation, badges and points" reference page, the reward for reaching 4000 reputation is reduced advertising throughout the site. For the last couple of days, I've watched my reputation points inch slowly towards this figure, and tonight, they finally rolled over into the magic 4k range.

I want you all to know that it is absolutely true! Instead of flashing banners and a half width page with advertisments down one side, tonight all I have is one small and discreet advert in the top corner. It's wonderful!

I'm so happy!!!!!

Ooops - just noticed that I had this in "vocabulary & Grammar! Thought I'd better change it before I got a slap on the wrist You would think I'd know better by now.

Congratulations. The last time I had 4000 points I was really looking forward to reduced advertising. I didn't realise that it didn't mean cheaper rates. Like Eddy, I was expecting a post that would have been "immediately censored" or "flagged".

Wait until you reach 10K. It is a little know fact, but once you reach 10,000 points, you receive a weekly salary from the site, a photo shoot with Heidi and an invitation to Eddy's Holiday party.

I must really be able to tune things out. Now that you mention it I notice a difference in the ads.It is nice. Now if there were some way to not have the ads on the Learn Spanish Videos.
