To you, what is the difference between "mudar" and "cambiar"?

I know that the word "cambiar" is more universal and more commonly used so what would prompt you as a native speaker to use the word "mudar" en exchange for "cambiar"?

Yo se que la palabra "cambiar" es mas universal y la usanza es mas comun, entonces cuál situación puede provocarte a usar "mudar" en cambio de "cambiar"?

When you use it as changing clothes, "mudar" y ""cambiar" are interchangeable.

"Me voy a mudar/cambiar de ropa" . I'm going to change clothes.
