"Would you please speak slower?"
I've needed to ask this question many times, but how do I say it properly. Thanks

Hable más despacio, por favor.
Hable más lentamente, por favor.
Más despacio, por favor.
Por favor, hablas mas lento. = Please, speak slower.
Hablas lentomente, por favor. = Speak slowly, please. ( this one is good if you're taking notes on a subject or something)
i was in chile for a while and the word LENTO was understood as slower
Hable más despacio por favor. or in the familiar form to a friend or a child etc. you would say hablas más despacio, which are literally translated as speak with more space but means speak slower.
Oh yea, I have had to ask this many times -- no so often anymore. I have a standard one I use:
"¿Puede usted hablar lentamente y claramente, por favor?"
(Can you please speak slowly and clearly?)
Yes you want to use "lentamente" This is not a translation of what you posted, but how I ask the same thing.
