We have traced the member who has been flagging indiscriminately and have asked for an explanation. If a satisfactory answer is not forthcoming a ban will be imposed.

What if I flagged the post about the indescriminate flagging to try to act like the indescriminate flagger who indescriminantly flagged the posts that shouldn't have been flagged?

But if you don't want the Indescriminate flagging of posts to be flagged by a possibly indescriminate flagger then just let me know and I will not indescriminantly flag it. tongue wink

Hey! Hlsbookworm, there would be a flag on this play for sure. - Moe, Dec 1, 2009
Or maybe just a red card. - Moe, Dec 1, 2009

Yea bookworm, but let's take it further though, let's require 250 across the board per say (rep and etc.). That way, by then it's established that you're a contributing member, and here for the right purposes, because face it, most people don't just hand out votes, and it would become boring to wait around just to hurt others. Right?

If it was the one I think it was, he had 263 rep - so how high do you set the barrier? - sheila-foster, Dec 1, 2009
ok then, for flagging power, lets say 1k then...that's a very high rep to reach. - DJ_Huero, Dec 1, 2009

What was the indiscrminately flagging members' name? How does one know that he won't just register again and start once more, flagging indiscriminately?

I think the admins. can see if the same email address is done again, and, wasn't there someone else a while ago who had kept getting on and on with different names? but he's not here anymore, right? so, i would assume there is someway to do it. :-) - hlsbookworm, Dec 1, 2009
lol, yes bookworm you would talking about lkpuede/chumacomalo/(one other I can't say) - DJ_Huero, Dec 1, 2009
They will have to build up a reputation in order to start flagging. We would see it again and it would result in another ban. Heidi and I will not give in when it comes to removing undesirable members, no matter how long it takes. - Eddy, Dec 1, 2009
Undesirable members- hmmm......or maybe they're just misunderstood? :) - Seb79, Dec 1, 2009
no seb, they're definently undesirable...and thanks Eddy we need that dedication. - DJ_Huero, Dec 1, 2009
No, Seb79, that's not right. - --Mariana--, Dec 1, 2009
I think that indiscriminate flaggers should be indicted. They do it to indiscrimate flashers! - 00f2b5a1, Dec 1, 2009

Might it be something to do with the member who posted on yesterday's picture of the day thread, and is now described as "the-unknown"?

Just a thought, as that one comes up as "user does not exist".

Unfortunately, I can't remember who it was - before it was "unknown", that is!

Was the person new? I guess what I mean is, did they have any reputation? Maybe a slight solution would make it so that you have to have 15 or 20 reputation before you can flag something, such as you already have for voting, sending messages..etc. Would that at least solve it a little?

So if I went to look at the profile of the person that I thought was doing it, how would I know if the person was banned/deleted...this has effected me personally and I would like to know if it has truly ended. grin

If you look up a user ID and he no longer is here you'll ge the message "User ID does not exist." - --Mariana--, Dec 1, 2009

To anybody interested, I believe this person also flagged Heidi and me. I know I can be a shade abrupt sometimes, hehe, but never abusive. Heidi, however, is the epitome of decorum.

I don't know who it is, and the only way I can think of is clicking on all of the about 180,000 member's profiles and look on their latest activities. Jeje

Marianne is quite right - we need to trust the admin to do their job - as they did, quickly and efficiently, yesterday.

I'd still like to know who the ****** was though!
