Describing a Recipe in Spanish

If I am describing, in speech to a group of people, the preparation of a cooking recipe which verb tense should I use? The imperativo springs to mind but having looked at recipes on-line, on packets of food and in magazines the infinativo seems to be used (which makes it easier) but also 3rd person singular imperativo. However, that is for one´s personal use and not for giving instructions to several people.

Bearing in mind that in my part of Spain we use Tú y Vosotros any ideas would be greatly appreciated. This is my next class project - a 10 minute talk, without notes, and I would like to get it right. Hence a dinner party menu plan as I will probably be able to ad lib through it once I´ve got the tense sorted out.

Thanks.

HI caza, in front of a group just use the infinitive, very often used substituting the imperative.

Primero pelar la patata, luego cocer el agua.......etc.
