hi todos,

when talking abt year, for example Year 2009 , do we say ¨ Dos mil y nueve ¨ ? or just ¨ dos cero cero nueve¨ _

and how abt year 1997, -- mil novecientos y noventa siete
is it correct ? or is there other rules when talking about year ..?

The year 2009 would be pronounced dos mil nueve. The year 1997 is mil novecientos noventa y siete.
