Did that get your attention?

I just thought that it was funny that the noun "feminine" in Spanish (femenino) is in a masculine form. Isn't language grand?

"femenino" is an adjective not a noun. Adjectives do not have any inherent gender. They simply agree with the nouns that they modify. - samdie, Nov 23, 2009
I beg to differ, samdie, see our dictionary http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/feminine - aloshek, Nov 23, 2009

Many abstract nouns are feminine. Sex does not equal gender (when talking about grammar). - samdie, Nov 23, 2009

Sí, tienes razón! Por ejemplo: "La corbata" es un sustantivo femenino, pero " el gorro" es una palabra masculina." ¡Imagínate! El idioma (palabra masculina que termina en "a") es para volvernos locas! (Echando bromas, claro...me encanta este idioma!)
