Correct verb formation?

I want to say "because we have not been talking much in class I have lost my confidence"
Would "Porque no hemos estado hablando mucho en clase he perdido la confianza" be correct?
Please could someone say if I have the correct formation for "been talking"
Unfortunately the phrase tells the story!

Your sentence looks good.
I'm sorry that your class doesn't have enough speaking because, yes, it will definitely ruin your confidence in speaking the new language.
