how do you translate that using proper preterites and imperfects?

Once upon a time, there were two teenage girls walking through the forest. When the sun started to settle the girls became scared. They went to call for help but their cell phones had no service. They yelled for help, but no one answered. All they heard was their echo and the noise of the crickets. It started to get cool. When they heard the growl of a bear they started to run and scream. Suddenly they saw a cave. They took out their flashlights and went in. Once inside they saw a purple bear with blue polkadots. When they went to run away they both tripped over a rock and hit their heads on the bottom of the cave. When they gained consciousness the bear was taking care of them. He had wrapped their heads in bandages and put ice on their scrapped knees. They were scared, especially once the bear started talking to them. They would answer questions and not talk anymore. The bear started to get frustrated and went to attack the two girls. Right before he attacked them, Mr. Vasquez woke up from his nightmare and said "No more reading The Three Little Bears" before I go to bed!
