Can someone help me with this expression? It's talking about a cap: "It is easy to see, this cap is not off the shelf."

Se usa para denotar que un producto es estándar o que está en stock, de forma que está disponible sin mayores complicaciones.

When you refer to clothing that is "off the shelf" meaning standard, you use the expression "off the peg" instead of "off the shelf".
