El mango. Why can't all Spanish translations be as simple. We would all be fluent.

Speaking of an easy translation...This summer at a friend's home in the Caribbean, she asked if I could help her prepare lunch for a large group of people who had been painting in the heat for hours. Before she left the room for a short time I said sure, "I can make the fruit salad for you.

After looking in her fridge and coming up empty, she walked back in the room and informed me that I should just go to the back yard and pick some mangoes and bananas from the many fruit trees Being from the city, this was just amazing to me, (although it doesn't take much to impress me.) She lives in a very poor village, but has an unbelievable luxury of tropical fruit at her disposal at all times. cool smile
