It's a question for class. I'm asking how an author describes her own character in her book.

This answer looks passive to me. How is the character described [by her]?

This also introduces my 2nd question. Since in the description part of the question we are told that the author is describing her own character (autobiography?) then is the personal "a" required before carácter? Of course, if the reply is passive it would not be required. Does it depend on whether character means her personality or if it means a person in the book?
