Does anyone know any spanish proverbs or old wise sayings in spanish? If so can you give it to me in spanish and english.

Here's another that a Mexican friend of mine is prone to say (usually when I am caught off guard by something... wink )

Camarón que se duerme, se lo lleva la corriente.

The shrimp that falls asleep gets carried away by the current.

Translation: Nobody knows for whom they work Interpretation: (It is especially meant when someone else benefits from something that you hope to benefit from) You don't know who reaps the benefits.
