I want to say that somebody fell for the trap that someone else laid for them.

Caíste en la trampa que te tendieron. --- You fell in the trap they laid for you.

Te tendieron una trampa --- They laid a trap for you.

I think also: Te enredaron en una trampa --- They entangled you in a trap.
